Almost finished vol.20 cover Lucy (for the second time but now featuring bridal satin and lace rather than cotton sateen and cheap lace). Need to do the lace around the hips and another bow for the wig and it’s done.
I’m on track to definitely having both Lucy costumes and either my preview night or Pariston cosplays finished (likely both). Due to a very, very stupid mistake with the iron, I have to remake 80% of Paris’ jacket.
Been working on Lucy for about 7hrs now and this is what I have to show for it. Still a fair bit to go but I hope to be on my second version of the white dress by midday.
Doing week before the con all nighters is something I haven’t done in a while, it’s almost exciting.
Progress update, Pariston’s suit is close to being done.
I went for accuracy of fabric sparkle over ease of sewing which was a terrible idea and it has taken 5 times as long to make due to having to back the fabric and make sure it doesn’t distort while doing my seams. All that and it still wont sit entirely right. At least I sparkle?
I'll try not sound really fangirl but I can't promise anything. Your 1 of my fave jojo cosplayers. Just wondering if you planned to do more than Jolyne, Lucy and Rohan <33 Your face is perfect for Araki's art!!!!
I’m so bad with compliments omg, Thank you! I just, omg.
I pretty much plan to do a cosplay from each part (even though I have no idea who to cosplay from PB and SC). So yeah, far from done with JJBA cosplay. I want to do LisaLisa from BT, Buccellati from VA, more versions of Jolyne, probably will end up doing Johnny and I’m leaving JJL cosplay up in the air right now but I kinda want to cosplay Joshuu despite him being a bad person with bad hair.
Also, I have quite long hair and I have trouble getting my hair to stay in a hair net for underneath my wigs, any tips for doing it? Because my two cosplays for Auckgeddon have quite short wigs and I don't want my hair to fall out underneath like it did at Hamigeddon D:
I know some people french braid their hair but if you have any significant thickness to your hair, then that’s still quite bulky looking. I’ve tried to explain what I do below.
First pin any fringe back and the hair by your ears behind them securely. Then I collect my hair at the back of my head as though I’m going to put it in a low ponytail and then twist it while moving the length of the pony tail to the top of my head. I put a couple of pins in along that to keep it flat against my head and then let the rest of the length that’s not pinned get arranged nicely once the wig caps on. I drew a bad diagram to try explain better.
When in doubt just use more bobby pins basically. When my hair was chin length I could get a wig on safely with none but when it was approaching waist length I had 15 just keeping my hair under the wig cap alone.
Can't wait to see you at Auckgeddon! I love your cosplays c:
Yusss, you going all the days or just some? Thank you so much.
I said I was done with uploading Rohan pics for now but I feel I get a free pass on lying there because of this one being a bit silly.
Cheap Trick is one of my favourite DiU fights so when I ended up getting photos taken on a staircase I couldn’t help but really badly emulate this bit

I’m hoping to get a full shoot done for this costume at a church at some point in the future

It took a while but overload weekend costumes are now complete! I’m really excited for this weekend.
(I’ll get my wig styled correctly for the shoot but seeing as it has to survive being packed for travel, excess hairspray is something I’d rather leave out of it right now)
Reposting Rohan completion shot (minus earrings cause they’re drying still) from twitter.
Now it’s just finishing up Togami for that weekend and I can move onto Auckgeddon costumes!
